Upstate New York has lots of Cardinals.  You can hear them calling to one another if you listen.  These plump characters are a joy to be around.  The original is 16" x 20" oil on canvas board.  They look like they are in the middle of a conversation, and I like to make up stories in my head as to what they could be talking about!
