Every Spring, my family and I make our way to the yacht basin and lighthouse in Harbour Town, nestled in the heart of Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island. It’s a tradition that fills us with joy and inspiration, and over the years, I’ve painted countless scenes from this beloved island. Around every corner is a view begging to be captured in oil. This particular painting features a fresh perspective, incorporating the recently reimagined Quarterdeck restaurant alongside the iconic lighthouse and marina. The blend of familiar landmarks and new architecture made this an inspiring composition to bring to life. I know this won’t be the last time I return to this iconic setting—there are still so many beautiful angles and stories waiting to unfold on canvas.
