Paint Pops take months to create. Every weekend when I sit down to paint, the palette from the weekend before is rubbed into a painting that didn't make the grade. I love the paint so much that I can't stand to throw any of it away. Making a Paint Pop began as a method to keep my old paint in a way that just entertains the eye. Sometimes I can look at the colors on the rubbing and remember what painting it came from. I think the black background adds such drama and reminds me of the old dutch masters. Original is 11" x 14".
