These Lobster boats came about when I was in a Gallery in Newport, RI.  They loved all kinds of boats.  The composition layers working lobster boats with the smaller rowboats in the foreground, creating depth and rhythm that draws the eye through the painting. These I kept hanging in my office for a long time.  I love their weathered but playful nature. Can you feel the dampness of the fog? It feels calm and elevated rather than overtly nautical.  The overall teal coloring makes it so versatile.      The original is 14" x 20" oil on canvas panel.
