This piece is deeply personal to me. As a member of my church choir, the hymn “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” has always stayed with me—its message of comfort, faith, and quiet reassurance.I had painted the sparrow some time ago, drawn to its delicate beauty, but the piece never quite felt complete. It wasn’t until I added the handwritten shorthand—layering in the lyrics of the hymn—that everything came together. The hidden words give the painting a deeper meaning, a private message woven beneath the surface. The combination of the sparrow’s gentle presence and the expressive shorthand creates a sense of intimacy and calm—inviting you to pause, look closer, and feel the quiet strength within it.  Original is 18" x 18"
